Health & Safety
Whether cleaning the inside or outside of a building, working safely is our prime objective. Our duty is to assess and minimise risks, and so we provide our clients with copies of our risk and COSHH assessments and Method Statement. Where necessary, site specific risk assessments are completed before we start work.
With our Health & Safety pack on file, you can demonstrate that you have taken steps to prevent accidents in areas under your control.
We are also registered with the SAFEcontractor accreditation scheme www.SAFEcontractor.com, which means that our Health & Safety procedures are audited by an external organisation.
Insurance
Our insurance cover is as follows:
- Public Liability £5,000,000
- Products Liability £5,000,000
- Employers Liability £10,000,00
Full details of our policy documents are forwarded to clients upon request.
Working at Height
On average 12 people a year die at work falling from ladders and over 1200 suffer major injuries. This means that ladders account for more than a quarter of all falls from height.
The Work at Height Regulations 2005 apply to all work at height where there is a risk of falls liable to cause personal injury. The regulations place duties on all employers, the self-employed, and any other person who controls the work of others (e.g. facilities managers or building owners).
Powered Access
Sometimes, powered access is required to clean windows, cladding or fascias where access with poles is impractical – it means we can reach and clean almost anywhere! Our team is IPAF trained and holds the PAL Card (Powered Access Licence), to ensure all equipment is used safely.
